DESIGNED IN ITALY BY GAI + BAROZZI DESIGN STUDIO Gianpietro Gai si occupa di design di prodotto e comunicazione sin dal 2001. Tra il 2008 ed il 2014 è stato professore alla Libera Università di Bolzano, alla facoltà di Design e Arti, dove Beatrice Barozzi si laurea nel 2015. Nasce così lo studio di design "Gai + Barozzi" nel quale, insieme, si dedicano ad ideazione, sviluppo e comunicazione del prodotto industriale. Il team è stato scelto da Perenz per la vocazione fortemente creativa, orientata all’innovazione, alla ricerca e all’ecologia: tutti i progetti realizzati dallo Studio infatti hanno come presupposto fondamentale la sintesi equilibrata tra funzione, tecnologia ed estetica con una particolare attenzione agli aspetti sensoriali che trasformano il prodotto in esperienza. Magnet è la prima lampada realizzata per Perenz che utilizza in modo non convenzionale la forza fisica del magnetismo per produrre luce in un sistema aperto e modulare. Gianpietro Gai deals with product design and communication since 2001. From 2008 to 2014 he was professor Free University of Bolzano, at the faculty of Design and Arts, where Beatrice Barozzi graduated in 2015. This is how "Gai + Barozzi" design studio was born: a place where they work together on industrial products ideas, develop and communication. The team was chosen by Perenz for the strongly creative vocation, focused on innovation, research and ecology: all the projects carried out by the Studio have as a fundamental premise the balanced synthesis of function, technology and aesthetics with special attention to the sensory aspects transforming the product into experience. Magnet is the first lamp made for Perenz that uses the physical strength of magnetism in an unconventional way to produce light in an open and modular system.
